“Small Carpenters has been our partner for several years as we worked to transform our 100 year old house into something comfortable for a family with young children. They came up with beautiful designs that made great use of our small spaces and stayed true to the spirit of an older home. ” – Karol & Coleman L.
The owners of this beautiful home wanted to upgrade their mudroom to reflect the quality of the rest of the house and make it more efficient. We replaced low quality cabinets and various furniture pieces with custom cabinetry that met all of the family’s storage needs. A side-by-side washer and dryer was replaced with a stackable model surrounded by cabinetry for a built-in look. Wall hooks and a bench below the windows provided an organized space for coats, shoes and backpacks that previously cluttered the room. Upstairs, the homeowners wanted to replace an outgrown playroom and rarely used bathroom with a true bedroom space. We removed the bathroom to allow for a more comfortable bedroom space that included a closet and built-in desk area. These renovations met the changing needs of this family and reflected the updated style they desired.
